Dill Pickles

1 Quart Jar

1 1/2 cups water
1/8 cup kosher salt
1/2 cup white vinegar
8 garlic cloves
4 give or take pieces of dill
Pickling cucumbers (usually 6 or so, cut in half)

Heat the water and dissolve the salt and vinegar.   Let cool.  Put the garlic, dill and cucumbers in the jar and poor water mixture into the jar.  Let marinate in fridge for 1 week.
